“Rather than having everything very unorganized and decentralized, everything is in one dashboard, and everything can be looked at ahead of time.”

Problem

The California State University (CSU) system has a decentralized and unorganized ordering and shipping system, leading to high shipping costs and inefficient tracking. This results in a waste of student tuition funds that could have been better utilized for student resources like equipment and club funding.

Technical Solution

The team developed a centralized web-based platform that automates shipping cost analysis, carrier recommendation, real-time tracking, predictive analytics for cost optimization, and monitoring of diversity spending goals. It integrates with major carrier pricing APIs (FedEx, UPS, DHL) to provide scalable and cost-effective shipping options, consolidating shipments to generate significant savings. The platform also automates the identification of diverse supplier opportunities.
