“Our solution is an auditing and consulting services management system. So this was a web app designed both for auditors and auditees.”
Problem
The auditing process at Cal Poly SLO suffers from inefficiency, ineffective communication, and a lack of centralization. Specifically, audits are delayed for months due to manual document editing and compliance checks, as well as frequent follow-ups, no-shows at meetings, and excessive back-and-forth emails regarding status updates.
Technical Solution
The team developed an Auditing and Consulting Services Management System, a web app designed for both auditors and auditees. For auditors, it provides an internal dashboard to input audit requests. For auditees, it offers an AI-powered file upload portal with a submission summarizer and compliance checker, utilizing services like Amazon Textract, S3, Bedrock (Claude-Sonnet), and Streamlit. This streamlines the auditing process, reduces delays, and improves communication and centralization.
