“We grow community. People rely on accurate translation to learn, work and connect.”
Problem
Existing translation tools often miss important context and nuance, leading to incorrect translations. They struggle with idioms, cultural references, and ambiguous words, resulting in translations that lack accuracy and readability. This can hinder communication, understanding, and inclusivity across different languages and cultures.
Technical Solution
Uno Translate is a real-time translation overlay tool powered by AWS Lambda and Nova Lite 1.0, an AI language model. It provides accurate and contextual translations for over 250 languages, preserving page layout and offering AI-generated summaries with emojis. The solution includes grammar and spelling correction, text-to-speech functionality, and language auto-detection. It aims to improve trust, civic engagement, and social cohesion by serving minority languages and cultural contexts with high readability.
