Problem
The current transfer process for community college students to the California State University (CSU) system is manual, time-consuming, and prone to errors. Students have to navigate complex course catalogs and articulation agreements, often leading to confusion, mistakes, and delays in their transfer journey.
Technical Solution
UR-Future Track aims to streamline the transfer process by developing an automated and personalized service for course articulation between community colleges and CSU campuses. The solution involves integrating AI with the existing Assist.org platform, allowing students to upload their transcripts and receive a tailored outline of transferable courses and units completed. This approach minimizes student effort, reduces the risk of taking incorrect or unnecessary courses, and enables better planning for on-time graduation.

About the DxHub
The Cal Poly Digital Transformation Hub (DxHub) is a strategic relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is the world’s first cloud innovation center supported by AWS on a University campus. The primary goal of the DxHub is to provide students with real-world problem-solving experiences by immersing them in the application of proven innovation methods in combination with the latest technologies to solve important challenges in the public sector. The challenges being addressed cover a wide variety of topics including homelessness, evidence-based policing, digital literacy, virtual cybersecurity laboratories and many others.
