Problem

Students often struggle to navigate college campuses efficiently, leading to lost time, increased stress, and underutilization of campus resources like restrooms, labs, libraries, and student services. The average student wastes up to 15 minutes a day or over 40 hours a semester wandering around instead of learning.

Technical Solution

Panther Finder is an AI-powered knowledge assistant that helps guide students around the campus with ease. It utilizes natural language processing to understand students’ queries and provide personalized navigation assistance based on their schedules and preferences. The solution aims to enable faster navigation, smarter resource use, less staff strain, and happier students.

About the DxHub

The Cal Poly Digital Transformation Hub (DxHub) is a strategic relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is the world’s first cloud innovation center supported by AWS on a University campus.
